The 2018 Magnet Schools Assistance (MSAP) Project Directors Meeting provides an opportunity for current and past MSAP grantees, the broader magnet sector, and other school choice and diversity experts to network and disseminate information on effective practices. Meeting participants will return to their schools, districts, and communities reinvigorated to think differently about how to improve the implementation and management of their magnet programs to better achieve their academic and diversity goals and objectives.
This year’s Project Directors Meeting will offer a wealth of information through general, breakout, and peer-to-peer learning opportunities. The sessions will cover key magnet topics around managing project implementation, including enrollment management, family engagement, community partnerships, and program sustainability, that will help improve your school choice leadership skills. Ample time will also be provided so you can learn from and build relationships with fellow grantees, U.S. Department of Education (ED) staff, and expert consultants.
During this Meeting, ED will also provide information on grantee expectations, monitoring, evidence of promise evaluations, and the new magnet study.
